A homemaker and freelance writer from Searcy, Arkansas, Marie Medsker begins her sixth year as a columnist for The Daily Citizen in 2001. Personal essays and human interest stories are numbered among her articles, which cover a wide range of topics.

Mrs. Medsker's work has appeared in several Arkansas newspapers and The Baptist Trumpet, a weekly publication of the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas. Drawing from a Christian perspective, she seeks to encourage and inspire as she 'writes from the heart'.
