2014 Conference

 

White County Creative Writers’ 19th Annual Writers’ Conference will be held on August 30, 2014 on the second floor of the American Heritage Conference Center at Harding University in Searcy AR

Also featured are 13 writing contests, with contest awards presented during luncheon.

Deadline for Conference Registration is August 23, 2014. A registration fee of $25.00 includes the luncheon.  Participants may also register the morning of the conference, but lunch may not be included.  Tables for book sales available @$5.00 for ½ table.  Make checks payable to White County Creative Writers, and mail to Christine Henderson, P.O.Box 9122, Searcy, AR 72145

NOTE: Contest entry fees are NOT included in the conference fee.  See Contest Regulations for details.

 

Linda Apple is the author of Writing LifeYour Stories Matter! and Connect! A Simple Guide to Public Speaking for Writers. Her debut novel, Women of Washington Avenue is the first book in her Moonlight Mississippi series.

       Her personal experience stories have been published in 16 of the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. Her devotions have been published in numerous devotion magazines and books. Linda is also an inspirational/motivational speaker. She speaks at conferences, writers' workshops, and women's groups across the midwest and east coast. She currently serves as the Arkansas Regional Speaker Trainer for Stonecroft Ministries, an international organization.

       She lives in Fayetteville Arkansas with her husband, Neal, their five children, four children-in-love, and nine grandchildren.

USA Today best-selling author Laura Castoro is the author of forty plus novels. The multi award-winning author was recently named a Pioneer of Romance by Romantic Times.  Writing as Laura Parker, she has published historical and contemporary romance, westerns, and category.  Writing as Laura Castoro, she has published mainstream women’s fiction. 

Among her many honors is being named recipient of the Arkansas Writers Hall of Fame Award for 2005. Her book Icing on the Cake was chosen as the 2012 Arkansas Library System's "If all Arkansas Read the Same Book".

A sought-after speaker and writing workshop leader, Laura is the President of the Board of Novelists, Inc (NINC), the only writers' organization devoted exclusively to the needs of multi-published novelists. She is past President and current board member of the Writers Colony at Dairy Hollow in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

2014 will see the launch of a new contemporary suspense series under the name D.D.Ayres.
